I Stand with Rand

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul won the recent "straw poll" of the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) for the 2016 Presidential Race. This is something I agree with and I "Stand with Rand". It will be interesting to see how the "Main Stream Media" propaganda machine will try to tear down , distort and throw mud on Senator Paul's image and ideas. Jeff Kuhner of radio station WRKO in Boston this morning discussed his support for Senator Paul on his "Kuhner Country' radio show. I myself have thought since the 2012 election that I would support Senator Paul for the 2016 presidential election and will vote for him either as the nominee of the Republican party, as a third party candidate or as a "write in " vote.

In 2012 the "Main Stream media" played up the allegation that Mitt Romney cut some kid's hair when he himself was a kid and then later in life put the family dog on top of the roof of his car for some vacation trip. Now, these actions of course are so serious that we as a country could never elect Mitt president whereas Obama was an admitted cocaine user, "Chum gang ganga smoker" and as self confessed dog eater which of course are very minor issues compared with letting a dog get some fresh air.

Rand Paul, hopefully never did anything wrong in his life or we for sure will hear about it. Hopefully he never cut in line at the movie theater or dropped a piece of popcorn accidentally on the floor at the movies. A transgression like that I'm sure would preclude him from being president according to the media democratic "lap dogs". The media will try to portray Senator Paul as the "founder of the KKK' even though it was Southern Democrats who founded this organization. All the Republicans did was fight and die during the Civil War to end slavery. Prominent leaders such as Martin Luther King and baseball's Jackie Robinson were both Republicans as were most blacks until about the time of LBJ and his "Great Society" where the government cranked up the welfare handouts and created a government dependency which in many cases can be viewed as a new form of slavery.

Rand Paul will also be labeled as an "extreme right winger" who believes in crazy outlandish concepts as freedom, liberty, the rule of law, the United States Constitution, and a limited role for government. The governmental parasites and leeches will fight "tooth and nail" to defeat anyone who wishes to try to limit the power of government or the size and scope of government.

Rand Paul perhaps will consider Susana Martinez, governor of New Mexico, Nikki Haley, governor of South Carolina, or Bobby Jindal as his Vice Presidential running mate. I for one will not vote for Chris Christie (AKA "the Thin Man) if he were to become the republican nominee (I don't want him, you can have him, he's too fat for me.)

It will be interesting to see if old Hillary Clinton will try to run again for president in 2016. When the call came from Benghazi for support from our Libyan Consulate when under attack no help was offered. Oh well, "What difference does it make?" was her response.

Yes," I stand with and for Rand" in 2016. Where do you stand?

RSPECT Means Nothing to Me

Obama Misspells ‘Respect’ While Praising Franklin Before White House Concert « CBS DC  Are you "Rspected" in your daily life? President Obama in introducing Aretha Franklin said that Aretha sang
"RSPECT" on behalf of women and African Americans who just wanted a little respect in the lives. Now, I don't know which of the "57" states President Obama was speaking in or he probably was in the District of Columbia but I do know that "Ali G' (AKA Sasha Baron Cohen) spells the word (RESPEK) and lamented that there is so little of this that "respek" is not even in the dictionary anymore. I don't know if I respeck a president who doesn't even know how to spell the word. I mean, the next thing you know he will be spelling potatoe as "potato", something a bird brain (or Quayle brain) would do. Respectfully submitted: Mr. Rick Shaw

Ice Prints

Photo of a frozen "coy pond" reminds me somewhat of a set of fingerprints. The ice whorls or swirls also somewhat look like what would happen if you "flash freeze" throwing a few pebbles into the pond with the frozen ripples. The dark shapes are similar to a "Rorschach test" and to me some of the dark shapes look like a few of the "enemy ships" in the movie "The Matrix".

Let It Snow

facebook  Here's a live shot of the snow storm we had here on the Cape. Heavy snow with some power outages and some trees and tree branches down on the roads. Driving last night was a challenge to say the least. Click on the link for up to date weather conditions.

Transformer" Like a Cannon"

Last night around 11:02 pm. I started my shift at the Soundings/Breakers resorts in Dennis Port on Cape Cod and was greeted by a loud "BOOM" like a cannon from outside in what appeared to be the parking lot area during a blizzard where there were downed trees on part of the road and low power and phone lines from the heavy snow clinging to the branches and wires. The emergency lighting system kicked in and the Soundings had "half power" as some parts of the electricity were on and some were off. Throughout the night there was an almost constant light flickering and the emergency lighting would sometimes rapidly click on and off so fast that it reminded me of "Morse code" signals perhaps from an other world spirit trying to maybe convey an important message to me and perhaps mankind in general. Or perhaps the flickering code signal was foretelling the future "Power ball" winning numbers to me but alas I don't know Morse code so I'll probably have to resort as always to the random "quick pick" method to try to win a "jackpot". I wonder what it would be like to win a large sum of money? Maybe someday I'll find out; after all, "you can't win if  you don't play". I knew I should have taken that "Morse code" training as a young lad in "Cub scouts"; Oh well.

40 Tons of Snow "Craig's List AD FREE!!!!!

40 Tons of Snow    I often look through the "Craig's List Cape Cod FREE Section" just to see what people have to offer. For example, some generous soul (click the link 40 tons of snow) is offering free snow and as much as you could possibly want. How kind is that? I'm thinking I may take this person up on their offer as I am thinking of chartering an airplane and flying this snow out to California to help them with their drought situation and by hopefully getting this snow out there quickly it won't melt or evaporate. I might have to pack this snow in dry ice to make sure it stays cold. I don't know.  Either that or I might open up a snow cone stand in downtown Dennisport  so that people would have something cool to suck on while they are shopping the thrift shops, dollar stores, and job lot outlets or in case they burned their tongue on a hot slice of pizza which you can almost get every 200 yards in this bustling shopping district.

Song Lyrics: Or So I Hear

Some songs sure do have interesting lyrics; at least they sound interesting to me. For example: Credence Clearwater Revival with singer John Fogerty in the song " Bad Moon Risin'" sings "There's a bathroom on the right". Now, to me what difference does it make whether the bathroom is on the right, left, or middle? Maybe, singer John wanted to make sure that people went to the correct bathroom based on your gender because when "you're in for nasty weather" and need to get to a bathroom then if you are in too much of a hurry I guess you could end up in the wrong bathroom. Or, the REM song, "Losing My Religion" where singer Michael Stipe croons, "Let's pee in the corner, let's pee in the spotlight"; I guess they didn't know about the bathroom on the right or couldn't find a bathroom anywhere.

Rock guitar Legend Jimi Hendrix sings in the classic song "Purple Haze", "Scuse me while I kiss this guy". Now, to me, if you are "Jimi" why would you need to be excused if you wanted to kiss some guy? If that is what you wanted to do Jimi just do it ; you really don't need somebody's permission. Although I guess if you are in a "Purple Haze" you aren't perhaps thinking too clearly.

Even the Canadian national anthem "O, Canada" where they sing "O, Canada, we stand on cars and freeze" to me I find this interesting as I think this national Canadian anthem was written even before the birth of the automobile. Maybe the composer of this anthem consulted a psychic who foresaw the rise of the car in the future. Of course, I might have misheard this lyric and maybe the true phrase is "We stand on carts of cheese" as there are quite a few dairy farms up in Canada.

Sometimes I guess, some song lyrics I hear make me "scratch my head", how about you?
